Can I fax a loan application?

Yes, many banks, credit unions, and auto lenders still take loan applications by fax, and some print a fax number on the application form. Send the signed application with ID and income pages, then confirm the lender got every page. Some lenders now use online portals only, so check the instructions before you send anything with financial details on it.

Which loans still travel by fax?

Personal loans, auto loans, and small business loans are the usual cases. Dealership finance offices fax applications to lenders all day, and credit unions often keep a fax line for members who do not use online banking. Large national banks lean portal-first, but their dealer and broker channels still fax. Mortgage applications have their own quirks, and a lender's mortgage desk may run a different intake route from its personal-loan desk.

What goes in the fax?

Sign before you fax. An unsigned application usually goes straight to the pending pile, and a faxed signature on a loan application is treated as binding by most lenders, so read the terms before you sign, not after.

What happens after you send it?

Call or message the lender and confirm the page count and readability. Ask for the application reference number and the name of the person who logged it: both make follow-up calls far shorter. If the lender says pages are missing, resend only those pages. Keep the confirmation page with the loan paperwork. If the lender later says the application never arrived, that page is your proof of the send.

Can LetterAgent fax a loan application?

LetterAgent's fax service is in testing, with activation still in progress. You describe the fax to your AI assistant, approve the exact quoted price, and pay once through Stripe. It handles US and Canadian fax numbers only, and it cannot receive faxes. For a same-day dealer deadline, use the lender's own route: testing means the service is available to try, not a promise that a fax sends today.
