Your assistant shows you a preview of the letter before anything else happens. Check the wording, the addresses, and the details. Nothing is quoted, created, or charged until you're happy with the content.
Your assistant sends the letter content and gets a quote with the verified page count and the exact final price: the price is bound to that exact content, so it can't drift. A letter of up to 5 pages is a flat US$4.99 to a US address (black-and-white or colour), or C$5.00 before tax to a Canadian address (provincial tax is added at checkout). You approve that exact price before anything is created.
Once you approve, your assistant creates the job and gives you a one-time Stripe Checkout link for that letter at its exact quoted price. You pay by card: no account, no subscription, nothing stored. Why is mailing to Canada more expensive than the US?
Postage and printing costs are simply higher in Canada's postal system than in the US, and the final prices reflect that: US$4.99 flat for up to 5 pages versus C$5.00 before tax for a one-page Canadian letter. Both prices are all-in for printing, envelope, and postage: the only addition for Canada is the provincial tax at checkout.
Is it cheaper than doing it myself?

What currency am I charged in?
