How do I know what my letter will cost before I pay?
Before anything is created, your assistant gets a quote with the verified page count and the exact final price, and shows it to you for approval. For Canadian letters, any applicable tax is shown as its own line at checkout. You never pay a price you haven't approved.
Can I see a preview of my letter before it's mailed?
Yes. Your assistant shows you a preview of the letter content before getting the quote, so you can review the wording. Only after you approve both the content and the exact price does the job get created and the payment link issued.

How does quote-then-approve protect against price surprises?
The quote verifies the actual page count and returns the exact final price before anything is created or charged. The job — and the payment link — only happens after the user approves that exact price, so the amount can never drift between quote and payment. For Canadian letters, the provincial tax is shown as its own checkout line.
Can I check the status of a letter through the API?
Yes — get_job_status on the MCP server (or the equivalent REST endpoint) returns the job's current status, including tracking status for certified and registered mail. Your assistant can poll it or check on demand.
Can I cancel a letter programmatically?
Yes, with cancel_letter (or the REST equivalent), as long as the fulfilment window is still open. Once printing has started, cancellation is no longer possible — the status check will tell you where the job stands.
What information do you collect about me?
Only what's needed to provide the service: your letter content, the sender and recipient addresses, and whatever Stripe needs to process your one-time payment. There's no account, no profile, and no data collected beyond what's required to print and mail your letter.
