LetterAgent is an agent-native print-and-mail service that mails real, physical letters for AI assistants and the people using them.
You tell your AI assistant what you want mailed — a cancellation letter, a note to your landlord, a thank-you card — and it drafts the letter, shows you the exact price, and mails it after you approve and pay. No signup, no API key, no trip to the post office.
LetterAgent prints your letter, stuffs it in an envelope, and drops it into the mail stream in the United States or Canada. Your assistant handles the whole thing from inside the conversation: it drafts the text, shows a preview, quotes the exact price down to the page, and only mails it after you approve and pay. The outcome is simple — a real letter shows up in a real mailbox, and you never touched a printer, an envelope, or a stamp.
Cheap, rate-shopped shipping labels are on the roadmap: tell your assistant the box size, weight, and destination, and it would find the cheapest carrier option and sell you the label as a printable PDF. This feature is not built yet — labels are planned as a separate, later release with its own pricing and abuse controls.
Lob and Stamps.com both require you to create an account before you can mail anything, and Lob's API is built around developers copying API keys into code. LetterAgent has no signup at all: if you can talk to an AI assistant, you can mail a letter. There is nothing to register, no dashboard to learn, and no key to paste anywhere.
Every letter is paid through its own one-tap Stripe Checkout Session, created for that exact job at its exact quoted price. We never keep your card on file and there is no postage balance to top up and watch expire. If you mail zero letters in a month, exactly $0.00 leaves your pocket.
Lob exposes a traditional developer API: great if you write software, useless if you just want to mail something. LetterAgent's interface is a skill file and MCP-shaped tools an assistant can call directly in the middle of a conversation. The product lives inside the chat — the website you're reading is just the brochure.

Stamps.com's own pricing starts at $14.99/month, charged whether you mail anything that month or not. LetterAgent charges $0.00 per month, has no minimum volume, and no contract of any kind — you pay per letter, only when you mail one. There is nothing to cancel because there was never anything to subscribe to.
For the record: going direct to PostGrid yourself is also an option — it's the print partner behind our fulfillment — but that means signing up, managing API keys, handling address-layout rules, and wiring your own payments. Pirate Ship is a fine deal for parcels, but it can't mail letters at all, and its whole workflow is built around you driving their website yourself.
Ubaid Qasim is the founder of LetterAgent. He lives in the Toronto area and spends his time getting AI assistants to do tedious real-world work — the kind of errands that used to eat an afternoon. He's building LetterAgent the same way: with an AI assistant as his engineering team.
LetterAgent was born from a simple frustration: AI assistants could draft a perfect cancellation letter but couldn't actually mail it, so the letter still died in a drafts folder. Ubaid started building the missing last mile — a service where "mail this for me" ends with something in the mail, not another document to print yourself.

Onboarding: there is none. No signup form, no email verification, no API key — if you're in the private test, you just start talking to your assistant.
Turnaround: letters enter the mail stream through our print partner, typically within a couple of business days of payment. After that, delivery follows standard postal timelines. We do not promise guaranteed delivery dates — once it's in the postal system, it's in the postal system's hands.

No. There's nothing to sign up for and no key to copy — you just ask your AI assistant to mail something. Payment happens through a one-tap Stripe Checkout Session created for that letter, and we never store your card.
When you approve a letter, your assistant opens a Stripe Checkout Session for that exact job and amount — you pay once, by card, and the session is done. There are no prepaid balances, no top-ups, and no card kept on file for next time.
Yes. After your payment succeeds, the letter is printed, enveloped, and handed to the postal system through our print partner, PostGrid — the same kind of infrastructure businesses use for bulk mail. Your assistant gives you a reference and can check the job's status any time.
Letters typically enter the mail stream within a couple of business days of payment; after that it's standard post, and delivery follows standard postal timelines. We don't promise guaranteed delivery dates — once the postal service has it, timing is up to them.
Shipping labels are planned but not built yet — they're marked coming soon everywhere on this site. When they launch, they'll be a separate feature with their own pricing and their own fraud and compliance controls.
LetterAgent is in private testing and pre-launch, so access is limited while the service is being proven end to end. If you're testing it, everything above describes how it works today.
