How do I mail a letter from my phone?

Yes: the entire thing can happen from your phone. With LetterAgent, you describe the letter to your AI assistant in a chat, approve the exact quoted price, and pay through Stripe Checkout right in your mobile browser. There's nothing to install, and no printer, stamps, or post office involved. If you'd rather talk than type, dictation works fine.

How does mailing a letter from my phone actually work?

1. Open your AI assistant	ChatGPT or Claude in your mobile browser or their app: whichever you already use.
2. Describe the letter	Who it's to, what it should say. Plain words are fine; the assistant drafts it.
3. Review the draft and quote	Read the letter back, check the recipient's address, and look at the per-letter quoted price.
4. Approve and pay	Approve the exact price, then pay once through Stripe Checkout in your mobile browser.
5. It's mailed	Printed as a standard 8.5×11in letter and mailed. Ask your assistant for the job's status any time.

Do I need to install an app?

No. There is no LetterAgent app to install: the whole flow lives in the chat with your AI assistant plus a checkout page in your regular mobile browser. Stripe Checkout is a mobile-optimized web page: you enter your card once per letter, and it's a one-time payment, not a subscription and not a top-up. No account, no signup, nothing sitting on your home screen afterward.

Any tips for composing a letter on a small screen?

Dictate instead of typing. Speak the letter naturally: what it's about, the key points, the tone you want, and let the assistant turn it into a formatted letter. This is genuinely the easiest way to do it on a phone.
Keep paragraphs short. Short paragraphs are easier to review on a phone screen, and they read better in the printed letter too.
Verify the address character by character. This is the big one. Phone autocorrect loves to "fix" names, street names, and postal codes into wrong but plausible-looking alternatives. Read the recipient's address back slowly before you approve: it's the one error that sends your letter to the wrong place.
Ask the assistant to read the final letter back to you. A quick read-back catches the typos your eyes skip over on a small screen, especially in names and numbers.

What should the letter itself look like?

You don't need to think about formatting: the assistant handles it. The letter is printed single-sided on US Letter paper (8.5×11in), in black-and-white or colour, exactly as quoted, and mailed in a standard double-window business envelope: the recipient's address shows through one window and your return address through the other. Just focus on the words; the presentation is standardized.

Can I send a registered letter from my phone too?

Yes: the registered option (US Certified Mail / Canada Registered Mail, with tracking and proof of delivery) is part of the same flow. Just tell your assistant you want it tracked when you describe the letter, and it'll be included in the quote.
