LetterAgent

Register your bank account, once, to mail checks.

What this is: a one-time setup step. You enter your bank account details once, over an encrypted connection. We pass them to our check-printing provider, which stores the account and gives back an ID. We never store your account numbers ourselves, and after this page you will never need to type them again. When you mail a check, your assistant refers to the account by its nickname only.

Register a bank account

Just a label for you. Your assistant will use this name when asking which account to draw from.

Printed as the signature on your checks. Use the name on the account.

Found on the bottom of a Canadian cheque: the 3-digit institution number followed by your 5-digit transit number. Dashes and spaces are fine.

Digits only. This is sent once and never stored by us.

Registered.

Your bank account is set up. From now on, your assistant only needs this ID. Save it somewhere safe:

Nickname:

When you ask your assistant to mail a check, tell it the nickname () or paste this ID. Your account numbers will never appear in chat.

Security notes. This form is sent over an encrypted connection to LetterAgent, which forwards the details to our check-printing provider a single time to create the account. LetterAgent does not log, store, or display your account numbers afterward. The provider stores the account and returns only an ID, which is what your assistant uses from then on. You can register more than one account (for example, personal and business) by repeating this step with a different nickname.
